Word is out: Clarke’s Bar and Dining Room opened last week on burgeoning Bree Street. Headed by ex-Superette Head Chef Lyndall Maunder and designed by Liam Mooney, there can be no surprise that Cape Town’s hipsters and hotties have beaten a path to this new eatery and late night drinking hole.

Echoes of Superette in style and service sees Maunder bring a handful of Woodstock cool to the City Bowl. Combined with an urban industrial aesthetic and a minimal menu that puts produce first, Clarke’s promises to be a great addition to this growing foodie haven.

Give them a couple of weeks to (in their words) “get their shit together” and expect one of the best breakfasts in town from 7am and juicy beef burgers to die for throughout the day.
